Weāre watching a millionaire quarterback be called a "problem" by coaches making $10 million a year. This isn't just about "amateurism" or rules, itās about a system that feels threatened the moment Black athletes start realizing their own market value and ownership.

The "Worthiness" Trap: Leadership often frames NIL as "cheating" or a "mess," which subtly questions whether Black athletes are disciplined enough to handle the wealth they create.
Invisible Labor: Black players make up over 55% of the most profitable sports, yet the NCPA alleges they are denied nearly $185,000 annually due to artificial compensation caps.
The Resource Gap: White athletes often earn more NIL revenue despite smaller followings, proving that "marketability" is frequently a code word for systemic racial bias.
Status Coercion: Coaches still hold the power to bench players, meaning athletes must choose between advocating for their fair share or staying in the "good graces" of the regime.
The Education Myth: When grueling 4:00 AM practices make learning impossible, "scholarships" aren't a fair trade, they are a way to avoid paying fair market wages.
